With more and more companies delving into software development and with increased awareness of software development becoming an enabler of other industries, AusIndustry recently released new guidance on software activities to help provide information for companies claiming the R&D Tax Incentive.
Whilst most information was already known from prior releases, the new guidance does help pinpoint more specific examples of software activities that can be claimed.
Software development in particular has been a focus as of recent and it necessary to ensure all technical details meet eligibility criteria, and that technical documentation is recorded.
If you have undertaken any software development activities between 1 July 2017 – 30 June 2018, email [email protected] to make sure your R&D project ticks all the boxes and get your application in before the 30 April 2019 deadline.
